Paula Abdul will not returning as a judge on American Idol next season!!!!

"Very sadly, it does not appear that she's going to be back on Idol," Paula's manager, David Soneberg, informed reporters of his client's decision to leave this weekend.

Even though Paula wants to return as a judge, AI production heads FremantleMedia and 19 Entertaiment have yet to draw up a contract for Abrool.

And shooting begins on August 6th!!!

Soneberg says the lack of an offer is "unnecessarily hurtful," and FremantleMedia and 19 Entertaiment are guilty of being "unconscionable and certainly rude" because they've left Paula hanging.

Abdul's manager even contacted the big wigs at 19 Entertaiment to let them know Paula's game for season nine of the show, but he hasn't "received any proposal whatsoever."

Both Ryan Seacreast and Simon Cowell have been offered major $$$$$$ to return to Idol, and Randy's current AI contract runs through 2011, so what gives?

"She's not a happy camper as a result of what's going on. She's hurt. She's angry," says Soneberg.

Rightfully so!

We want Paula!!!!

P.S. Get rid of Kara, keep Paula, and bring Perez on board as the fourth judge on Idol!!!!!!!

Medyo off nga and I know kung anong mali dito. Grr.

Ang tight ng muscles ni Mariah and mukhang sinasadya nya eh! It's as if she doesn't want to sound LOUD. Kaya to keep the volume down, she tries to tighten her neck and facial muscles ~ constricting airflow. Or isa pang theory ko, lumalim na naturally ang boses nya (due to aging, etc.) and she tightens her muscles para magtunog bata ulit, just like in her Unplugged album. Pero yun, tingin ko mas stylistic flaw ito rather than physical limitation.

Syempre, hindi rin nakatulong that Mariah has weak stage presence talaga -- ever since naman. Susme, hindi na nya natutunan yan! Kaya lalo lang nagmukhang she's struggling (Well yes, she's struggling nga. But good stage presence could have helped her sana). Isama mo pa yung outfit nya na inappropriate for the 'event' -- sure, itim nga ang gown nya, pero sana ilugar natin ang magpapakita ng cleavage. Baka bigla syang hindi naging kumportable sa itsura nya sa stage; hindi rin nakatulong yun.

If it's any consolation, andun ang boses. Ang tanong lang; Matutunan kaya nya ulit kung pano kumanta nang tama? Just like Mariah 1990-1995? :)

Actually problema ko rin yan kay Whitney eh. Pero ibang case naman yun, Whitney is a recovering drug addict and a heavy smoker talaga. Haha. Grabe pa makipagsigawan at magngangawa yan sa ex-husband nya. Idagdag mo pa the fact that most of her hits require her to belt and hindi talaga sya naglilip-sync. Naka-ilang world tours narin ... so there, yung kay Whitney, mukhang sa katawan nya ang problema.

1. Working on my old desktop now. Tagal ko ring hindi nabuksan 'to, nasira kasi.
1 month rin sigurong sira.

~ So 1 month rin na si Phelps ang ginagamit ko for work. Wala naman akong reklamo kay Phelps. Workhorse yun, kaya nawili na ko. Ambilis pa. Minsan nga lang, sumasagi sa isip ko, "Shet, baka maluma si Phelps agad! Shucks, ang pera..." Nyahaha. But then naisip ko, mabuti nang ako mismo ang maka-luma sa kanya. At saka gadget yan. Darating talaga ang panahon na matatawag syang 'luma' at 'obsolete' kahit hindi madalas nagamit. :) ~

Kanina, naisipan kong ayusin 'tong desktop kasi may kinailangan akong files na nandito pa -- After 30 mins ng kati-katikot, napagana ko rin. *Naks! Ako lang yan ha! Salamat sa TechPinas, natututo na ko ng Techie stuff* Buti naman, hindi pa masyado tinamaan ang harddisk. Salamat sa Diyos. :)

2. So odd, nung ginamit ko ulit yung keyboard nitong desktop, nahirapan akong magtouch-type. Haha. I had to look at the buradong keyboard na para malaman ko ulit ang location ng letters. Nakakatuwa. Ang sarap nung ganung feeling -- lost nanaman! :)


3. *IDEA* To relearn how to touch-type ulit dito sa desktop keyboard, I opened Chrome then sa Omni bar, I tried typing my full name nang dalawang ulit.


4. Nakakaaliw, hindi ko pa tapos i-type yung name ko for the second time, kaya ko na ulit mag-touch type. :) Parang na-remap agad ng utak ko yung spacing ng letters. I guess, there are some things talaga na hindi nawawala. Andyan lang.


5. I watched Little Bride featuring Kim Rae Won nanaman kanina. Haha. Ewan ko ba.


6. While watching naisip ko, "Ah...That's the kind of husband or boyfriend na gusto kong maging balang araw."

Now, that's how you do an album cover!! Perfect styling -- pure class, showing just the right amount of skin, subtle accessories, mukhang mayaman, AMERICA: "I remember Whitney with curly hair" etc. JUST PERFECT -- lalo na when you think about the Album title.

"She's looking at who??! She looks to you."

Salamat naman at nakinig ang Arista sa emails namin and hindi ginamit yung pics from the first photoshoot. :)

Wala pang Typeface but I hope they go with anything Serif -- para pure class. :)

Hmm. I'm looking at the photo now and it's kinda reminiscent of her debut album cover (Trivia: Whitney Houston's debut album is the best selling legitimate debut album of all time, selling more than 13 Million copies) --

Not that wala akong damdaming makabayan, pero patas naman akong humusga kung talento ang pag-uusapan.

Sa tingin ko, sa Pilipinas, ang pwede mo lang macompare kay Whitney eh si Kyla -- one, because Kyla has enough knowledge of registers para maging karapatdapat sa comparison and two, because sa mga sikat na singer ng bansang ito, si Kyla ang gumagamit ng may pinakamalapit na technique sa technique ni Whitney. Hehe. Emotions-wise and kung sa stage-presence, si Lea Salonga at Pilita Corrales lang ang pwede mong ihambing kay Whitney eh. Seriously.

Una sa lahat, lahat ng notang kayang sapulin ni Regine gamit ang ilong nya, kayang kayang sapulin (at nasapul na lahat) ni Whitney gamit ang purong dibdib lang. For one, I've never heard Whitney singing with her nose talaga -- NEVER (and the same goes for Lea Salonga and Pilita Corrales). Makakairita kasi ang tunog ilong -- matinis na ewan. Even in her weakest vocal form, hinding hindi mo maririnig si Whitney na gumagamit ng nasal register. Dun palang, makikita mo na yung milya-milyang kaibahan nila bilang singers;

Ipakanta mo kay Regine ang I Will Always Love You ni Whitney -- sisimulan nya yan (the acapella part) gamit ang ilong. Soft matinis ilong register. Pustahan pa tayo. Ipakanta mo kay Whitney, head register ang ibabanat nya dyan: Controlled head notes.

No wonder hirap-hirap na makapasok si Regine sa international music scene -- Kasi naman, hindi lahat ng bagay makukuha sa lakas ng boses -- lalo na pagdating sa pagkanta. Andami-daming aspeto ng vocal performance (registers, shifts, texture, inflections, soul, stage presence). Sa totoo lang, while she's a gifted belter, I think one-dimensional ang boses and performances ni Regine. Yun at yun nalang. Opinyon ko lang naman.

Kay Mariah nalang, sus, walang laban si Regine kung kantahan ang usapan. Seriously. Hindi man kasing lakas sumigaw ni Regine si Mariah; Range palang, taob na si Regine. Ihiwalay mo pa the fact na andaming colors ng boses ni Mariah (she can do very deep then bigla kang babanatan ng coloratura whistles) and talagang maganda ang texture ng voice ni Mariah. Kung sa stage presence, medyo tabla yan -- ang kaibahan lang, medyo sumasayaw sayaw si Mariah minsan.

Nasabi ko na 'to dati and I will say it again, Regine is a gifter belter -- probably the best sikat BELTER that the Philippines has ever produced. Antindi gumamit ng hangin nyan, chong. Pero kung sasabihin mo that Regine is the best SINGER in the Philippines (moreso, the world), that's stretching it na. Sa tingin ko the best SINGER na naproduce natin (na sikat) is Lea Salonga.

Why Lea? Because of her mastery of basics. Hindi man sya sobrang soulful kumanta, kulang man sa colors ang boses nya, the fact that she has enough knowledge about music and the voice more than makes up for it. Sabi nga ng mga Hapon, "A master with stone beats a novice with shuriken."

Grabe yung effort nila para gawing tama ang baybay at bigkas sa bawat salita. (Notice the effort na pagsunurin ang consonant labial plosive "P" and the dental approximant "L" in the word "PILING" -- hindi kasi natural yan sa Bahasa, madalas Dental Rhotic "R" ang kasunod ng Plosives sa Bahasan words, pero pinipilit nilang gawin nang tama.) At bakit naman hindi, sobrang ganda ng wika natin. Lagi ko ngang sinasabi, maghanap ka ng wika sa buong mundo na may higit sa apat na epektibong salin ng salitang "Mahal". Filipino lang yan, chong. :)
